Our Story

          On June 8, 2024 our son Corey, age 31, was very suddenly and tragically taken from us. Family and friends wanted to come together and honor Corey’s memory, thus “The Corey Rohn Weathers Foundation Inc.” was formed. The first annual Corey Rohn Weathers Memorial Golf Tournament will take place on September 8, 2025 at Brookmeadow Country Club, Canton Ma.

          Corey moved from New Jersey to Easton in 1996 where he formed many lifetime friends. He was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in business from Emmanuel College. Corey participated in youth baseball and played high school hockey. 

          Corey was an individual who was so full of life. He had a love for fun. He had an innate ability to light up a room. He had great wit and a roaring sense of humor. We always said he should have been a stand-up comic.  

          Most of all Corey’s heart was big and pure. He loved his family dearly. Each place that Corey lived he established long lasting true friendships. He was passionate about those friendships and held on to them tightly. He was extremely giving, kind and compassionate.

          Corey was an outdoorsman. He loved the ocean. Being by the sea gave him peace and joy. He loved to play hockey, ski, golf, fish and take long walks with his very best friend, his dog Stormy. He participated in the Pan Mass Challenge for three years never hesitating to call you out if you procrastinated in donating.

          Corey would want all of us to think about the needs of our neighbors and be kind and generous in life. It is through this foundation that we will keep Corey’s legacy alive. If Corey were to say something about this fundraiser he would say, “Do Good Chief!”
